Ballet, the basis of all dance forms, combines the beauty of music with dance. The benefits of learning ballet include development of good posture, self discipline while learning technique and musicality. Ballet training provides young ballet dancers with opportunities to develop grace, fitness and self confidence while enjoying learning to dance professionally or for recreation.

Perform Art Studios Ballet School offers Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet syllabus and exams. The Royal Academy of Dance has an international reputation for ballet training excellence. The purpose of this training and the exams is to develop discipline, confidence in performance, and a personal sense of achievement. Our Ballet exam preparation classes, taught by certified Royal Academy of Dance ballet teachers, specifically prepare students for successful completion of an exam administered by an RAD examiner.

Perform Art Studios offers Royal Academy of Dance & Non Syllabus Ballet classes in North Vancouver for all ages and levels who wish to learn to dance from our First ART preschool dance program to our Pre-Professional/ Half Dance Division.

Educational Component

new dance studios offer a child friendly environment is well equipped with sprung dance floors, mirrors and welcoming.

to attend our weekday program.

Alicia Penny

Tap & Jazz

Alicia’s extensive training includes Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Stage, and Latin. She has studied AIDT modern and tap exams, as well as RAD ballet exams. Alicia began teaching at the age of 14 and since then has taught many different disciplines throughout the lower mainland. Alicia’s performance experience includes Disneyland, California Adventure Park, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and the 2010 Olympic Opening Ceremonies. She has recently graduated from SFU with a degree in Business Administration. Alicia brings with her a diverse dance background and a great passion for dance.

Dear Dance Families,

School may be in full swing, but the next Pro-D Day is just around the corner! Get ahead of the game and secure your child’s spot in our October 24th Pro-D Dance Camp — space is limited, and spots always fill quickly.

Perform Art Studios is excited to offer a full day of dancing, creativity, and movement that keeps kids active, inspired, and having fun while school is out. Campers will explore a variety of dance styles, enjoy dance-themed art projects, and head outside for dance games in the park (weather permitting).

Time: 8:45 AM – 3:00 PM (Drop-off starts at 8:30 AM)
Cost: $80 + GST per day
Ages: Kindergarten – Grade 7
