Ballet, the basis of all dance forms, combines the beauty of music with dance. The benefits of learning ballet include development of good posture, self discipline while learning technique and musicality. Ballet training provides young ballet dancers with opportunities to develop grace, fitness and self confidence while enjoying learning to dance professionally or for recreation.

Perform Art Studios Ballet School offers Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet syllabus and exams. The Royal Academy of Dance has an international reputation for ballet training excellence. The purpose of this training and the exams is to develop discipline, confidence in performance, and a personal sense of achievement. Our Ballet exam preparation classes, taught by certified Royal Academy of Dance ballet teachers, specifically prepare students for successful completion of an exam administered by an RAD examiner.

Perform Art Studios offers Royal Academy of Dance & Non Syllabus Ballet classes in North Vancouver for all ages and levels who wish to learn to dance from our First ART preschool dance program to our Pre-Professional/ Half Dance Division.

Preschool children in First stART benefit from our modern creative ballet dance based learning program where they develop

as a second language (E.S.L.) with an educational consultant specializing in Preschool aged children available to consult

new dance studios offer a child friendly environment is well equipped with sprung dance floors, mirrors and welcoming.

to attend our weekday program.

Alicia Penny

Tap & Jazz

Alicia’s extensive training includes Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Stage, and Latin. She has studied AIDT modern and tap exams, as well as RAD ballet exams. Alicia began teaching at the age of 14 and since then has taught many different disciplines throughout the lower mainland. Alicia’s performance experience includes Disneyland, California Adventure Park, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and the 2010 Olympic Opening Ceremonies. She has recently graduated from SFU with a degree in Business Administration. Alicia brings with her a diverse dance background and a great passion for dance.

WEEK ONE:

Swiftie Pop Star Dance Camp Full Day (Ages 5-7yrs & 8-12yrs)

In your “Wildest Dreams” did you think you would get to “Shake It Off” again this Spring Break? Join us for this full day dance camp with everything Taylor! Whether you are a Swiftie or just love Pop music, this camp is for you. Take classes in different styles Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary while also learning choreography from popular Taylor Swift videos. Art projects and outdoor adventures, combined with a week full of dance will make you “The Lucky One” this Spring Break.

Dates: March 16-20th Time: 9:00am-3:00pm *drop off as early as 8:45am Cost: $425 + GST *Early Bird $400 (register by Feb 1st)

Need longer? Add after camp care 3:00-5:00pm $25 per day

WEEK TWO:

Lights, Camera, Dance! Full Day Dance Camp (Ages 6-8yrs & 9-13yrs)

Create, perform, and film your very own dance video. Lights, Camera, Dance! is an exciting Spring Break camp where dancers become stars in their very own dance videos. Throughout the week, dancers will take dance classes in styles like Jazz, Hip Hop, Acro, Lyrical & More. They will also learn video techniques for dance, learn choreography & create their own dances in groups or solo if they choose! Explore performance skills and work together to create a polished dance video from start to finish -complete with lots of creativity!

This camp will take dancers in and out of the studio. Outdoor activities around the Shipyards will add to fun.

Perfect for dancers who love performing, creating, and trying something new. No previous experience required!
